Good Luck!

I just wanted to wish all the Young Women good luck with girls camp! I know this is only a-once-a-year thing for y'all, and I can tell that a lot of you are really excited. I'm excited because I'm thinking this might be the one year I will get to see pictures from girls camp; since they will most likely be posted on this site. I look forward to hearing how things go!

Flags & Fluffy Flip Flops

Last night we had our Pre-Camp craft activity. We decided to each design our own little squares to piece together for a patchwork camp flag (with our theme, "Like the Stars").

Then we made our "fluffy flip flops". The girls did an awesome job, and they all looked adorable. I don't know if they'll ever wear them out in public, but I hope they at least had fun making them - despite the hair styling monster who was terrorizing the room (aka Pres. Benson). :)

MY LIGHT

I found this poem for all the Saipan Youth and wanted to share with you all in this blog because I finally realized how much I have grown to love each one of the Youth here On Saipan. I hope you all Enjoy the Poem:

My Light
By: Unknown

You are the light in my darkness,my shelter in a storm. You give me strength when I am weak, and your love to keep me warm.
When I was hurting, lost, and abused it was then your faith that I had used. When I was cold, depressed and alone, I stayed alive by your love only.
When I felt pushed or stunned away, it was then your friendship that made me stay. When I was sick and felt like dying, I knew your loved me by your crying. I knew you loved me knew you cared, you did what no one else had dared.
you listened to my thoughts and fears, and helped me wipe my tears. you helped me learn, respect, and love, to pray to God my lord above you're the light in my darkness, I hope you'll see, I'll love uoy Saipan Youth for enernity.

I hope you all Enjoy this peom I change the part at the end to make you all know you are all the best youth make sure you all LOve, Learn and grow though the examples you show others. ALWAYS STAND FOR TRUTH AND RIGHTEOUSNESS...

funny poems :)

tori and i were looking through library books and we found some pretty funny ones about jellyfish and sardines. so we thought we'd share the love with all y'all! :):) (NOTE: must be read outloud for maximum enjoyment.)

LOVE SONG FOR A JELLY FISH by Sandra Hochman
How amazed I was, when I was a child,
To see your life on the sand.
To see you living in your jelly shape,
Round and slippery and dangerous.
You seemed to have fallen
Not from the rim of the sea,
But from the galaxies.
Stranger, you delighted me. Weird object of
The stinging world.

SARDINES by Spike Milligan
A baby Sardine
Saw her first submarine:
She was scared and watched through a peephole.
"Oh, come, come, come,"
Said the Sardine's mum,
"It's only a tin full of people."

This weekend

We'll announce this again on Wednesday, but I've received the official times for the Youth Choir practice with Sis. Creamer this weekend so please take note. And please make it a point to come! Sister Creamer is travelling all the way to Saipan just for this, and I would love for her to see just how wonderful our youth are.
